Meal Planning + Free downloadable template!

Now with a newborn in the house, I need to simplify life and one thing that happens is every family is "What's for dinner?" - At the beginning of every week I like to sit down and plan. I go through my fridge, freezer and pantry and look at what I've got for dinners and I start to meal plan the week.

I don't plan breakfast or snacks, because breakfast is usually coffee and toast or cereal whatever is quickest and I'm feeling that morning but lunch and dinner start to involve others and more planning.

When planning dinners I try to do meals that will have leftovers that will turn into lunch the next day as this makes things quick and easy and cheaper. From planning dinners and lunches as much I could with whats in the house I have my shopping list to write additionals on right next to it.

Since starting to really meal plan every week not only is it saving time, it's also saving money as I don't get flustered at dinner time going "uh, I didn't get anything out of the freezer" or "I don't know what to make we don't have anything" so we don't start just ordering take out instead so it's definitely a healthier option that I highly recommend.
